show your pics of stakeside beds , if anybody has any , i'm thinking of building one on mine and selling my fleetside bed.

Here is mine. 1966 with only 9800 miles. A bit of a mystery, but no rust, just surface from sitting in a Mississippi barn for years

Looks good, did you use the original metal bed strips? My new gas tank and sending unit just arrive yesterday and the goal tonight is to get them installed and the fuel system plumbing put together. Then get it running. Too many projects and too little time

Sorry for the poorly worded question. The metal strips that are between the wood on a factory bed. My truck is a factory stake side and so it has the same metal strips and wood as a 1/2 and 3/4 ton bed. The only difference is the width of the bed and the thickness of the boards. I will post a couple of pictures later tonight.

heres my 1962 gmc 2500 on a long bed step side wheelbase with an aftermarket flatbed that i just took the wooden stakes off. would love to find a long bed step side to swap it for.
