My hidden "Temp" knob?
Haven't had my '57 Chevy Panel very long and I just found this today:
Here is a better shot of its location. Has the word TEMP on the face of the knob and a temperature tube loosely stuck into my a/c-heater box. It turns easily and seems to be previously set on a "middle" setting. I don't know what it controls, as I have a temp lever on the dash. Part of the add-on a/c? |

Re: My hidden "Temp" knob?
That is the thermostat switch or temprature control switch. It has the capilary tube going into the evaporator right? Turn it to make the ac colder just be sure you don't freeze up the unit.

Re: My hidden "Temp" knob?
VA setups have the same knob tucked up behind the glove box door next to the fan.

Re: My hidden "Temp" knob?
Thanks, guys!
So, clockwise to open/increase, right? Today, I had the heater on when I went for a drive. It will be warm again before I park it for winter. |
