2wd blazer frames
If I was to buy a frame from a 2wd blazer across country, what is the best way to determine without being there that its a blazer frame as opposed to a pick up frame?
Length? Vin?

Re: 2wd blazer frames
Yes on both of those. Length and VIN are both things I would check. I would also have a board member look at it for me just to make sure everything is as advertised. A lot can be hidden in the way the photos are taken.
Edit: I should add that the Blazer is 104" wheel base and the short pickup is 115" wheel base.

Re: 2wd blazer frames
It's worth what someone is willing to pay.
What are the specs? Rebuilt rearend? Rebuilt suspension components? Brakes? Is that raw metal? Primer? Paint? Does it have "paperwork"? Does that include delivery? Edit: I just answered some of my questions, it's sandblasted, and has paperwork. I still am having a hard time with the price. There are rust issues on the back of the frame, is that the only place? Also, the ad lists it as a 1970, the photobucket as a 72. I am wondering if he has a bunch of other parts since the photobucket lists a 72. Maybe make it a package deal to make the price a little better?

Re: 2wd blazer frames
It's pretty much the frame only. I know, The price is pretty steep but these are pretty hard to come across. Anyhow, my only alternative is to lower a 4x4. And I understand that the 2wd would be better + resale is better also. I don't know why, I'm 4 linking and drop-membering it anyhow...

Re: 2wd blazer frames
If you are going 4-link and dropmember, wouldnt you be removing all the stock 2wd suspension anyway? Sounds like you would be better off and ahead money wise to keep the 4wd frame. Just sayin...
