Wheel clearance for 13" rotors

Hi all I need to know what is the smallest wheel that will have clearance on Baer 13" eradispeed rotors complete with c-5 callipers. They will be put on a 69 c-10 shorty for transport only.
Thanks Mark.

I think 17s or 18s will clear the brakes.

17's will be tight, but you will have to watch for interference with the valve stem.

If you not gonna drive on them you could just cut out out pywood circles for wheels,Or make a paper template of your lug pattern and hit the junkyard see what you can find.If you have to buy something look at http://www.kugelkomponents.com/zenca...roducts_id=100

Re: Wheel clearance for 13" rotors

Not all 17" wheels will fit. That diameter should be enough to clear the inside of the hoop, depending on the wheel. The problem you run into with the C5 caliper is how far they stick out towards the spokes.

You can use 98-2000 f-body calipers to gain a little clearance, or a small spacer if needed. There is also the option of using the C4 HD rotor that has 1/2" more offset, pushing the caliper away from the spokes.

Kore3 has templates you can print to verify fitment.

What year truck and what is the stock look you're going for?

Re: Wheel clearance for 13" rotors

If you are looking to just roll it around, you can pull the caliper and then a 17" wheel will fit and won't have to worry about the caliper offset as well. As mentioned above, not all 17" wheels will clear... it depends on the wheel and also it backspace since that will change the drop center and where it sits according the to caliper.

I say pull the caliper if you don't need it for much up purposes, and roll around without it.

Stock wheels may fit with the caliper removed...

Re: Wheel clearance for 13" rotors

Thanks for all suggestions guys, i should have said that i need the truck to look pretty stock as i am thinking of importing it back to Australia and generally the truck must appear stock, ie. no big wheels, blower sticking out of the bonnet, tubbed or chasis mods ect.

Re: Wheel clearance for 13" rotors

Why not put stock brakes back on it so you can run factory wheels,Once you get it to aus and legal put the big brakes back on it.
