What size tires for 65 C10 230 6cyl?
I am going to be needing to get at least some better used tires pretty soon for my project 1965 C10 as one of them is always flat. My question is what size should I go with? This truck currently has 6 lug 15" (not rallys) wheels off of a 1985 Chevy K10 with whatever original size tire those trucks came with. I'm likely going to stick with these wheels and would like some ideas as to what size of tire would keep it close to original? I'm thinking I might just paint them red and install chrome lugs as I like that look and I might do the truck satin black. I would consider the original hubcaps but I'm pretty sure those are clip right and wont' work on my wheels right?

Im running a 235/75R15 on my 63 w/230engine , 3sp muncie & 373 gears. Runs nice down the highway and I like the stance of the truck. The rims you have are nice because they will mount on disc brakes if you decide in the future.

Can anyone please tell me if the original hubcaps only work with the original type wheels? In other words, are they clip type or would they work on these wheels? Thanks...

I am running the 235/75/15 tires, steel wheel off a 70's to 80's 4x4 ( they are a bit wider and more offset giving the truck a better look, plus they allow you to use disk brakes ) and I have the OEM chrome hubcaps...... So yes they will fit

Re: What size tires for 65 C10 230 6cyl?
They had both clip and no clip type hubcaps. Clip style caps require wheels that have the clips. The no clip style caps are held on by 3 or 4 nubs on the face of the rim. We did a whole thread on hubcaps. Ill pull it back up if you look under topics. Here is the pic anyways.... the lower two are clip style caps. The top two press onto the rim.

235 75 15 or 255 70 15 for wider beefier stance
