Another wiring question
I am swapping in my 5.3. I have my standalone but I was wondering what old wires you guys still use in your engine compartment. Such as, can I get rid or the old purple starter wire etc....maybe even the whole pass side of the wiring going into the fuse block since I believe that's all old engine wiring? Thanks

Re: Another wiring question
Alot depends on what year of truck you're working on, but I would keep the purple starter wire and run it to the starter, since most 'stand alone' harnesses won't have it. But basically you can get rid of the stuff that went to the original engine and just keep the wires that go to the lights, horn, ect.
