1966 fire truck, rear brakes locked up tight
Well, this ol feller is not moving untill I can free up the rear shoes. The adjusting starr (wheel)is froze. I guess I'm going to have to drill and widen the adjusting slot to gain more access in there to get aggressive with it, any other ideas?

Re: 1966 fire truck, rear brakes locked up tight
Is it keeping you from pulling the drum? Id give the drum a few wacks and see if it'll free. Might also not hurt to pull the bleeder and see if it'll loosen up the pressure. If you can get the drum pulled, you can remove the adjuster from the front.

Try spraying some Gibbs Brand or PB Blaster through the adjuster slot and see if you can get the star wheel freed up. It might take several applications and some soak time.
