Re: "Redneck" CL Find
Someone on here just bought something like that not too long ago, but can't seem to find the post. It wasn't that exact truck, but similar. Thinking it was also 4wd.

Re: "Redneck" CL Find
I have seen this truck in person and it is way cool. Sad part is I had a chance to buy it from the wrecking yard for $1300.

Re: "Redneck" CL Find
I would say that it is a GMC 4000, but a check of the VIN would tell us for sure.

Re: "Redneck" CL Find
Just want to point out that it is possible that this truck is a Chevy that has a GMC Hood and a GMC Grille. That could possible explain the 292 Engine, although I believe you could special order one. The other thing is that the GMC Grille Letters on the truck are '60 to '65. In '66, the Letters were different. As mentioned, the VIN could set us straight on exactly what the truck is. Either way it is a cool truck.

Re: "Redneck" CL Find
Right, not a production bed, just a well fabricated custom.
gimmy 64, good eye on the Dashboard. If I did see it, I might have just dismissed it for Windshield "Smoke". Bill

Re: "Redneck" CL Find
It was a locals project and he sold it cause he needed money, don't we all? Anyways the seller went and painted the bed, it had patina very close to the hood. I told him he just knocked $1000 off te value and he looked at me like I was crazy. I then explained to him that patina is "in" how it drives up the price. Well as you can see he left the cab alone
