'52 GMC engine swap
Hi there, as a kid, I tinkered with a 1952 3/4-ton GMC. Now, I am a recent college graduate looking to put a better engine in it. It still has the original 228. I'm looking for detailed advice regarding what engine to put in it and what else I'll need to do.

Re: '52 GMC engine swap
Hi and Welcome! I can only give advice on engine swaps that " I " feel are right for me, driving style, project , keeping it period correct etc. I can recomend to read as many threads here, use the search feature and imerse yourself. pic's of what you have and its condition may help another member.
350/350 swaps are the easiest/cheapest/H.P.-torque swap out there, thats why there are a million of them. if thats the direction you are leaning, there should be a ton of info. If you are rebuilding, boring and cam'ing that engine, look at Patricks , stovebolt engine co ( Tom Langdon) or Tom at 12bolt.com Good luck |
