Suburban body swap questions
I've found a body (shell and doors) to replace my rusted out 82. Am I going to be good lifting at the fire wall and rear, or do I need to support the middle while lifting?
Are there any issues I need to be aware of putting a mid-80's body on an 82 frame? |

Re: Suburban body swap questions
Support it in middle should have four supports an the body will fit fine on the older chassis

I don't understand the reply. I would like to know also. I am about to lift my body off later this winter.

Re: Suburban body swap questions
I don't understand, either. Four supports would be two in the front (at the firewall) and two at the rear, right? I can't say from experience, but I think that should be enough. If the center of the body needs to bear weight on supports, where and how do you do that w/o damaging?
A later '80s body on an '82 frame is not a problem
