TJ Coil Springs

Just picked up a 1965 C10 Step side for my 17 year old son.
He is on a very low budget and wants to lower the truck, so we got a set of TJ springs from a friend .
I know we can use the rears for about a 3.5 drop but can we use the front TJ springs for the front of the C10.
If not why
If we can how much of a drop

Re: TJ Coil Springs

Welcome to the group

Ive used rear TJ springs and 3-4" is correct.

For the front, Ive either bought the correct front drop springs or cut my stock springs.
Cut 1 loop = 2" drop.
1 1/2 loop = 3"

I went crazy once and cut 2 loops for 4" drop, but had to remove bumpstop.
Rode good other than occasional hard pothole

Re: TJ Coil Springs

Welcome!!

I did cut springs on my 65 and it rode like a truck!! No pun intended.. I ended up baggin it all around and that made a world of difference.
