Dome light switch

I was wondering if when you turn the headlight switch to turn on the dome light if the switch completes the ground or supplies power to the dome?

I moved my dome light to door jam switches but got to thinking if it's the ground on the switch I could wire that in to then also have the interior lights on the doors and the switch.

I can test it... but maybe someone knows off the top of their head.

Thanks,

Scott

Re: Dome light switch

I'll be doing this mod shortly:

http://www.persh.org/Pickup/DomeLight.htm

Bottom of the page states that it completes the ground.

Re: Dome light switch

For further clarification (if it's needed) the dome light has constant power. The ground at the headlight or door switch(es) completes the circuit illuminating the light.

Re: Dome light switch

Thanks for the info guys! Simple enough to wire in to my door jam switch setup then.
