C20 upgrades.

I just got me a 1974 C20 a couple of weeks ago for a thousand dollars, and have been hammering out the issues it has from lack of proper care. So now I am getting close to getting up to par from a comfort stand point.

I want to remove a couple of leafs from the rear pack to smooth out the ride a bit. I got the C20 because it ran great for a $1000, and had new tires. I don't mind a stiff ride but the rear is rock hard even for my taste. Which leaf or leafs would be a good one to remove first.

Also I am looking for a bench seat with headrest I can swap in. In the junk yard I see more Suburbans with seats I like rather then the trucks in the 88-97 years. Are the Suburban seats the same mod to get in as a truck seat?

I have read Chevelle headers fit easily, and offer mid-length headers. I have a set of 1 5/8 Camaro/Nova shorties I like to use. Has anyone tried these, and if so how was the clearance. I think they would be fine since there pretty tight to the block in a smaller car.

Is the any front brake upgrades? I plan on doing the rear disk, but the fronts look small compared to the old F250 CS I had.

Re: C20 upgrades.

The F250 prolly had dual piston calipers? The only real upgrade would be to do a hydroboost swap.
Off topic, but did you have a '66(?) Dodge for sale on craigslist recently? Curious because your user name was also painted on the doors of the Dodge.
