Getting closer...
Just installed my 2002 5.3L into my 1966 C10 yesterday and I wanted to share the moment. I'm really quite proud of it and overall it went well. The only hiccup I had was the holes on the frame supports were a little too close together, so I had to redrill them about 1/4" farther apart on each side and it dropped right in. The motor mount plates I made at work on our new waterjet out of steel plate. They are the same design as these - http://www.speedwaymotors.com/LS1-Mo...FSOnPAodKQQA3Q
Now I'm off to hook up wiring and install engine accessories. I'm still figuring out what to do for fuel. You guys really helped me along by posting information and pictures of your installs. Thanks, Kevin C

Re: Getting closer...
Made a little more progress over the weekend. Installed the wiring harness and still need to hook up to power. Installed all the front accessories except the A/C compressor. It interferes with the motor mount by 2". Need to look into a hi-mount compressor bracket. Any suggestions? I got the cruize module and computer located. What have you guys done with mounting the computer?
Thanks, Kevin C

Re: Getting closer...
I usually make a bracket to mount the PCM under the driver's fender, but not sure that's a possibility on the older trucks.
As for A/C brackets, there are several companies making them. The new Holley bracket looks nice. http://www.holley.com/20-131.asp Then there's Kwik Performance, http://www.kwikperf.com/lsx_ac.html and also Alan Grove, it's a more complete kit, http://www.alangrovecomponents.com/LS.htm

Re: Getting closer...
My computer is run way up front behind the "vent" in the rad support/shroud. It is mounted on a silicon and rubber pad and strap; its un-needed, but I like being able to pop the ecm out in 20 seconds as a theft deterrent if needed, and I was weird about metal-to-metal mounting my computer. Not the showiest setup, but I can get at everything in seconds, no "trace the wire" problems.

Re: Getting closer...
Never had water touch the ecm, or even come close...and it's been driven through TORRENTIAL rain (thats a long story in itself).
The little fuse block is part of my swap harness made by fuelinjectionconnection.com The cover on it is now just an all-black cover, iirc it was the lid to a watch box that happen to be clear plastic and fit exactly. I'm thinking about getting that black "mesh" wire loom to clean it up a bit, but I actually like being able to see all the wires, something "Functional" about the look.
