Re: Does your truck have a name?
My '69 was "Daisy" due to the yellow with white top.
My '66 is "Ginger" also due to color. My Corvette is "Marceline" taken from the Adventure Time cartoon, color and personality match her character. <edit> My daughter came up with the names. She was 7 when I bought the '69, she was 10 when I bought my '66, she is now 12 and thinks she gets the Vette in 4 more years.

Re: Does your truck have a name?
I really like this one. I constantly make up merge-names (Maimes?) like that. I like the "Frank" one too.
Mine is named Cecilia, after the old Simon and Garfunkel song. "Cecilia, you're breakin my heart! You're shakin my confidence daily!" It gets dirty after that though so don't bother googlin it. I name everything with a motor though. The wife's van is "The Marshmallow", the infiniti is "Goldie". My mower is Fred, my leaf vac is Gertrude (she's tempermental). Weed whacker is "Gomer". Tiller is "Sparky" because he'll bite ya when ya flip the off switch. I haven't named the power washer yet, but I just got it for Christmas and don't know what his/her personality is. My daughter got a labeler and put their names on all of their handles because she got confused when I'd say "Go fetch me Fred and make sure he's gassed up". I may have a problem.

Re: Does your truck have a name?
Bompenstien
When I started the build thread he had no name but as things have evolved the name Bompenstien has stuck. If you can suffer through the read it becomes evident. |

Re: Does your truck have a name?
We refer to my truck as the HatredCopter, after the DethKlok song of the same name.

Re: Does your truck have a name?
I guess its name is the "beast" or the"the big red beast" , because I tell people "hop in the beast",or "throw it in the back of the beast", or "dont worry the big red beast will haul it".....things like that...never thought about it till I read this thread....

Re: Does your truck have a name?
The older lady I bought my GMC from called the truck "Frank" after her late husband. I asked her why and she said he was tuff and always ready to go.
I'm not exactly sure how she meant that but the name stuck with us my wife always refers to the truck as "Frank" and never mind what I say. This was a time I just had to accept the fact that that his name is "Frank"...Vernski |

Re: Does your truck have a name?
That's awesome. My red Toyota was named "Santas Helper" after I spent a day running food and toys for the Elks Lodge when they couldn't due to the snow one Christmas. There was a news report that morning asking for any 4x4's in the area to help, so I jumped in. I had a blast that day and the turnout was incredible.

Re: Does your truck have a name?
Ours it named Beauty, or referred to as "the racer". The original owner family named her "Old Yeller". After she was repainted gloss black she was renamed Diane or "Princess" because she was spoiled rotten and treated like a princess. My wife is in charge of naming our vehicles.
