Gmc 910

I got these emblems in a box of parts I bought and was curious about what year they are and info about the model of truck they belong to. Thanks

Lyle; the 9 in the model number denotes that it is a Canadian model GMC. here are the nbr plates from my Canadian GMC 4 x 4 panel


quite similiar to the ones used in 64-65. could be used later to

note that it even has the eng nbr on it. if we had that engine then for sure we could use the term matching nbrs

Very cool Ron. I will have to get a photo of my protecto plate for my Black 65 K10. It has the eng. number and trans and paint code on it with the name of the original owner. Does you burban have these emblems on it? Photo?

What engine did or does your truck have?

when I first got it, it had a 453 detroit. I put a 283 back in it. canadian GMC of that vintage used chevy engs. the v6 was only used in US production.
my 64 has those badges and also my 65 C930(1 ton

910 is a Canadian GMC 1/2 ton, which is pretty much a Canadian Chevy with GMC Trim.

if one took a US model with either a 230 or 250 cu in I6 and put it beside a Canadian model with the same engine what would be the difference other than the number 9 in the model nbr? Is the 230-250 eng a chevrolet eng or a GMC eng?

US GMC Offered the inline Chevy engines stating in 1964 as a low cost option to the V6, but it was the salemans jon to sale the buyer up to a V6.

A side by side of 1964-66 Canadian & US GMCs, US built trucks have heavier frames with Leaf springs, Canadian GMCs have the lighter Chevy frame with coil springs. a US truck vin will look like 1001ZH1001A while a Canadian will be like those seen above, which look more like a Chevy vin number.

With that newer style script i'd surely rule out '65
I'd say '66....possibly '67 or even '68.
