what color tint?
as you can see, i already have a blue tint on there, but i'm having my rear window replaced soon(this weekend hopefully) and will need new tint for it. so i decided to get new, darker tint all around. so should i get blue like it is now, or black. oh, and i'm gonna be getting 5% all around too. |

I would go with black, 5% have you had that before? I had mine 5% and it was too dark for me.

I don't think there is a blue tint. I think it was originally black and has just faded over time. May want to have all the windows re-tinted.

in that case go with a rainbow color it would suit you pretty good. j/k I would go with the blue if they have it because it matches your paint better. Whats wrong with your rear window?

My question is what is the difference between automotive tints and regular window tints, like home or office?
Has anyone ever used home window film on their vehicle?

I thought about it. We just put some up in our living room. The box said not to do it though. I'm sure its mostly the same thing but the stuff on cars probaly has to pass more inspections or something like that.

I've tinted home windows with auto tint. Worked pretty good. That was about 7 years ago and it's still on there.

Are there laws in your states for tinting? I want to tint mine darker than the law which isn't much 35% i think. How do you guys get around without getting pulled over?

Just get the tinted rear glass and don't worry about tinting it. It's $110 at Chevyduty.com. Don't know how dark it is though.

How hard is it to replace the weather stripping around the slider windows? Mine is all hacked up and as such my window doesn't close anymore, it has about a fingerwidth crack in it. I wanna get it fixed before I go anywhere as it would be very inviting to break into my truck right now... My buddy's truck has a plexi glass peice, and you can just pop it right into his truck :P He should get that changed as he has a full stereo system in there :P Not to mention you can start his truck without the key in the ignition LOL Typical of a F#rd :P
