2/3 drop advice please for 89 Silverado RCSB??
hello -
i have a question about lowering my 89 silverado. its mostly stock and i want to do a mild drop. so far i cut 1 front coil and this brought the front down 2" i also installed 2" drop shackles. this brought the back down a little less than 2", more like 1.5" ( i measured everything before and after) well, right now it has too much rake so i need to bring the rear down a little more. i'd like it to have a little bit of "rake" (as opposed to having it sit "level") ... so i think i should drop the truck another 1"... thoughts? any suggestions? i know i can buy hangers and this will take it down 2".. but i'm thinking it will sit "level" with a /4 drop?? thanks in advance for any advice! |

I suggest you go with the hanger kit for the rear. If your shackles have two holes, you might need to come up one that get the stance your after. Plan on using shock extenders and pinion shims too. It seems that almost all of the 88-98 trucks I lowered in the rear needed pinion shims to prevent driveline vibration.

Thanks! I've already got the pinion shims and I ordered the hangers earlier today.
