on my 64 the driver side window is almost impossible to roll down without a little help pushing down on the glass while turning the crank - It will roll up without any problem at all????

Re: Driver side window sticking

Sounds like you may have a little slop in the window regulator linkage and it is causing the glass to bind in the track when rolling down. When you roll it u the linkage will shift a little and cause less binding. You can try removing the door panel and clean/lube all of the regulator linkage and see if that helps or just replace the regulator.
