rear main snake oil
i never had any luck with additives my rear main is leaking not bad just enough to mess up my floor i know im going to have to replace it down the road i just dont want it getting any worse ?

I haven't ever had any luck with any snake oil mechanic-in-a-can potions either. Decided years ago that if something needs fixing then I have to make a choice if it's worth the work/$$/pain.

I used a leak sealer for my PS pump and that worked perfect. It was a Lucas product.

I would check on the lucas products. I know the transmission and power steering products work if the seal is not damaged, but just old and dried out.

They swell seals, but keep in mind that if your diagnosis is incorrect, they will RUIN a good seal....ask me how i know.
