Re: Wheel Vintiques

Had problems with mine also. After 2 different sets shipped to me from summit, I gave up and went with a different wheel.

Those look like they are painted gray. I thought they only came in silver or chrome.

Re: Wheel Vintiques

I bought my 15x8 chrome rallys with caps from WV almost 20 years ago. Still look factory new. I guess their quality control has gone south.

Re: Wheel Vintiques

I bought 2 15/10s from WV last year. Was taking forever to arrive. I was like wth. Turned out the train they were shipped on had derailed so it took awhile for wheels to show up. But there was not one thing wrong with them. Guess I ordered them on the right day.

Re: Wheel Vintiques

So how did you find out one was out if round, did you spin check them first or was that after tire was on?

Re: Wheel Vintiques

Looks like more people are having bad luck than good. I was going to get some smoothies, I'm definitely not going to roll the dice and get a bad set from WV. These company s fail to understand, when they send out a bad product it ruins their reputation. They wont be getting my hard earned money. Thanks for the warning.

I wonder what the percentage is of the thousands of their wheels that are out there that have a problem? less than a 1/2 of a percent? less than that?

best thing would be to order directly from them. ask them questions... tell them you heard a couple of negative things with some of their wheels, be specific... let them know you like their product, and that you would like to be able to give them a positive review... ask them if there is a problem with your order, will they cover return shipping if it is a defect in the merchandise... ""get it in writing"" "READ THEIR WARRANTY" i'm sure they would make good on one or two wheels, or even a whole set if there was ever an issue... come back and let us know if all went well

Quality control? I would think they are made in some type of jig. how many are sold that are never checked.

Re: Wheel Vintiques

I am planning on buying a set for my build. I hope I don't have any issues. If a handfull of guys here have had issues that makes me wonder how many others have had as well. Scary.
