Unhappy this truck is killing me!

so i did a mild build on the 350 for my truck.. after dropping it in and doing the timing ect. the block heater blew out the side, i shut it down right away, no chance of over heating. after putting in a new block heater the truck started blowing antifreeze out my right tailpipe... turns out my right head is cracked... now i need a set of heads these where nice 64cc chamber heads to, know all i have to replace them with 76cc heads.. sorry i had to vet, this build just has me down today..

That's the way it goes sometimes.

Good job on the blazer so far. Looks nice.
I watched some of your videos. Looks like a nice place to live. I would love to live on 80 acres.

Re: this truck is killing me!

I have those days too. Try to restomod any of these trucks and you'll lose some hair. Not long ago I was driving home, truck was stuttering and stumbling bad after I'd dumped a ton into new parts. I was praying someone would hit the truck. Either that or I was going to push it off a bridge.
You'll get it figured out, running just right, and the pride of ownership will return.

Suck it up. If it was easy everyone would do it.

thanks for the advice! sometimes it good to just back off a collect your thoughts for awhile... otherwise projects like these will drive a guy mad.

The weather was starting to get warm, but yesterday we got a huge dump of snow and it's about -10.

Push on through, sucks about the 64cc heads, but you'll regret it if you don't. It seems to be a rule for them to develop into at least twice more than you expected.

I just so happen to have a tuned port with a Vortec intake. All you need to complete it is a computer and harness. Let me know if you want it and ill subscribe and sell it to you

Re: this truck is killing me!

Thanks but no. I appreciate you offering to become a subscribing member to sell it to me, but its also a requirement for want to sell posts.

If I see one in a pick and pull where I can get everything for less than $50 I'd buy, but it's only interesting as an experiment.

Back to the OP...

Re: this truck is killing me!

Good upgrade. Think tuned port. So much talk about it here lately I've been looking on craigslist myself.

Re: this truck is killing me!

My dad and I went to our local auto wrecker and there were 5 different trucks with the vortec heads. Lots to choose from. I got a set off a truck with low clicks on it and they only cost me 80$!. But with the intake and gaskets and everything it totalled up to 380.
