Rear Shocks 60 help
I am finally ordering parts need for my 1960 Apache, however I called the local auto parts store looking for rear shocks and they dont have anything for 1960, but they do have them for 1962 (I had them check)'
I am sure it is the same, but I want to make sure I called Autozone, Pep Boys and o'reilly's, o'reilly's had some but they are rare shocks and run around $200-$300 each, OUCH!!! not sure what's so rare about them Autozone has the 1962 ones for around $20 each, these are the only ones they have, does anyone know if the rear shocks off of a 1962 chevy truck fit the 1960? Thanks |

Re: Rear Shocks 60 help
Perhaps the following thread will be of some value:
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...60+rear+shocks If the local store shows they carry the rear shocks for $20 I’d want to see the shocks before putting down any money as they are likely incorrectly listed 1963-85(?) shocks. The correct 60-62 rear shocks are extremely long mounting front to rear, unlike later installations that have the more conventional (and shorter) left to right setup. American Classic offers the correct shocks for $35 each.

Re: Rear Shocks 60 help
cool guys,thanks
Will look into them too markeb01 My front clip is off of a 78 Olds Omega, so I ordered shocks and springs for the front The way my truck sits now, if I am not careful and drive too fast, it scrapes from frame to floor, it is 4 inches |
