TORGUE CONVERTER questions!!!
i am about ready to bolt up my th350 to my 283 i got the flywheel on. i was curious how to manully turn over the motor to bolt the torgue converter bolts, and which way does the torgue converter bolts go or does it no mater. i just rather no then not no.
any adivce in great. Lukas |

I have a flywheel turner now, but for years just used a big screw driver

The proper tool is the best way, but it can be done with-out one. In either case, taking the spark plugs out makes it a lot easier.

I'm about to do the same thing and its my first time. I was told a good way is to put some longer bolts in the three holes in the harmonic balancer and put a big closed end wrench around one and push or pull up against another bolt. Also agree with longhair take the plugs out.

With the balancer off...
With the balancer on (sorry, small pic) Then all you need is a 1/2" ratchet to turn it. Gary

flywheel wrench and the convertor bolts go with the nuts to the convertor
