transmission line factory fittings

I know these threads are a special thread (straight pipe thread?). Is there any line that I can use with the existing fittings shown below?

Re: transmission line factory fittings

Do you have the original lines? Just cut them, and flare/rubber hose as necessary. Next week I'll have an extra set (4l60e) that are cut at the front of the oil pan....yours if you want them.

Thanks for the generous offer! I should have mentioned that the trans is a 4L80e and I don't have any lines. Just the fittings shown in the pic. Are the lines the same on 4L80e and 4L60e? What would be wrong with using factory stubs at the trans and factory stibs at the radiator and filling in the gap with rubber/aluminum line?

Re: transmission line factory fittings

Not sure if the 4l80 are the same size or not. No problem using the stubs. That's essentially what I'm doing, just longer. I liked using the OE lines along the pan for clean routing. I used compression fittings to tie into hard line and rubber hose to connect and allow flex at rad.
If my memory serves correctly, both lines were 3/8". I'll check tomorrow. Lmk.

I've done some searching and it looks like the lines will work. I just have to use my rear fitting from my 80e. It is apparently a long fitting into the trans and you can burn up a tranny by using the short one like the front. 60e has short fittings front and rear. Would love to get the lines from you man it'll help not having to bend all new lines. Let me know what I would owe you. Also: I just saw you're in Raleigh I just graduated from NCSU last May in mechanical engineering. GO PACK!

Re: transmission line factory fittings

I purchased 4L80e lines form GMpartsdirect. They use little clips (look like window crank retainer clips) and little black plastic caps that were already on the lines. You can also buy AN fittings that replace the factory style. They make the correct long short combo for the 4L80e....

The factory lines are long enough. I used factory lines no cutting. I think i had to bend them a tocuh with a tube bender but thats it. Now oil lines are a bit tricker. Again i used factory lines but its not as clean as i would like. My engine is set back 2 1/2 in aswell

I have a 4l80e line sitting in my spare's bucket if you need it. I upgraded to the AN versions.

Re: transmission line factory fittings

Sorry for dropping off the radar for a couple of days. I just had a major productive weekend on my swap. Drove the truck into the shop. Set the front clip off. Gas tank out. Engine out. Cleaned frame rails. Set new 6.0 and 4l80e in place . Sounds like a little but it was a ton of work since 5 on Friday.

Anyways. I really appreciate the offers on the trans lines. I will be happy to pay shipping or whatever I owe to chev3600 or BR3W. Just let me know guys.

Re: transmission line factory fittings

Pm address and I'll send them out. If you can use them, cool. If not, do what you want with them. I had to switch to tbss lines because the routing is different to clear the manifolds. Stock 5.3 runs them above the starter, trailblazer is below. Lmk.

Sounds like he's got you covered but if for some reason you need this one just drop me a line, I can toss it in a documents tube or something.
