steering arm install help lol

i have a 87 3/4 i actually got the arm off quite easy to with a ball point hammer any ways i got new nuts and cone washers. how do u get them to get flush with the new sterring arm for the lift. or do they stick out like mine about 1/4 inch or so. there tight but truck is on a jack stand so dont wanna yank too too hard. any help would be great thanks

They may stick up a little. It depends upon how deep the tapered holes were drilled in the new arm. I have seen them like that, though a 1/4" sounds excessive...

I dunno what brand arm it is. Bought the parts used. Will try to get them down further
