Stripping down my cab floor...

I started stipping down my cab floor today. I'm going to paint it with some Hammerite Rust Cap.

I'm planning on just painting the floor, and then putting in one of those 1 piece rubber floor mats that go all the way across.

As far as sound deadener, I was thinking put some peel and seel/dynamat type stuff on the bottoms of the mat itself, and also on the cab floor under where the seat bolts down. Should that be enough?

Also, I've took some pics of things I had questions about.

Does anyone know what this wire is?

Also, what are these things that are on the floor under the seat area?

Thanks guys.

I think that wire goes to the seat belt warning buzzer and that other pic is a plug.

Check out site vendor CaptKaos for the vinyl flooring. I would not recommend LMC for that.

Re: Stripping down my cab floor...

I bought a rubber mat from LMC for my '67 and it was of poor quality.

Re: Stripping down my cab floor...

Thanks guys for the feedback. I'm not going to be putting in a full vinyl floor, I'm just putting in a 1 piece rubber mat that will cover all the main areas.
