wiring the heater and wipers
Hey All, I need to wire up the heater and am not sure about the connections. I think it might be a deluxe heater unit actually. I believe there are two wires coming off the fan. DO I simply take a wire from the ACCESSORY terminal of the ignition switch and use that to power the heater? or is it more complicated? Im not running the deluxe heater controls, just a simple two speed rotary switch.
Same question for the wiper motor. I have an electric motor installed and there seems to be three wires coming out of it. Not sure but maybe one of the wires may be for the washers which I will not use (I think the wiper motor is out of a more modern vehicle). I did get a correct wiper switch from Classic Parts, just not sure how to hook up the wires. Any help with these two issues would be much appreciated. Thanks, Mark |

Re: wiring the heater and wipers
Before wiring the fan up I would apply 12 volts & a ground to the fan wires to see if it works. How many terminals on your rotary (variable resistor I assume) switch?
Not quite sure on the wipers. i would try the same 12 volts and ground to the wiper. you might have a two speed or a 1 speed wiper and a pump? |
