Re: headers

well I dont mind making them fit, I am just trying to make sure that they arent like way too big where the frame will loose all its c channel in a given section or something

Re: headers

TBSS headers are a better choice.

Re: headers

im running 4th gen f bodys and I had to take about 1/2" by 4" section out of the bottom of the frame rails on each side and also shorten the collector on the driver side some because it kicks out towards the frame. but it mostly depends on how your engine and tranny sits because I could have jacked the tranny up and cleared the frame but I could not because of my engine setting back so far and clearance issues with the drive shaft hoop. also depending on your hedders and where the engine sets the primary on the ds comes close to the lower control arm. but all hedders and styles vary. they should work with little effort and also they don't tend to hang under the frame as much as truck style hedders!

Re: headers

yes my gf buys me parts lol(she usually just has me tell her what I want and on a holiday or this time its our anniversary, but this time she asked my buddy that convinced me to do the LS swap) so yeah I am happy about her buying parts but I think I would have picked TBSS ones for sure, Robznob do you know how far back/up or down your engine is from factory?

Re: headers

I had told you in a PM I believe anyway it was you that I used some mid length headers with no modifications on my swap for a few years. Again it does depend on how you have it mounted. Mine is custom mounts so it may not compare at all to other swaps.
Good luck.
