dually rears
Guys looking to find out info on the dually rear gears. I have a 85 gmc with a swapped in 6bt and getrag out of a 89 dodge that truck had a 3.54 gear single wheel rear, my truck has a 4.10. I have looked around but keep coming up with the 4.10 rear more common? I have been looking for a 3.73 but have been hearing mention of a rarer? 3.42 that was offered. Anybody got parts around or info would help out. thanks

Re: dually rears
In an 85 GMC, I would assume a 14 bolt axle? If so, that shouldn't be hard to find. Pretty much any of the differential/gear suppliers should have 3.42 gears.
If you are strictly looking at swapping the entire housing to get the ratio you want, you are going to have to restrict yourself to later model Diesel trucks. They are going to be the ones with higher gear ratios.

Re: dually rears
I do believe duallys used Dana 70s and I know cab and chassis duallys used 14 bolts.
