Muncie 3spd worth messing with?

Hey guys im from 67-72 side, but wanted to ask since this question deals with your years. I have a muncie 3spd,57-66 came out of a truck i had bought two years ago. Wanted to ask if it was worth messing with. Its still attached to the old 250 i pulled out also. It doesnt run but its complete. I just would hate to scrap something usable. What should i do with it? I thought about keeping the bellhousing for a future project. Ive got enough on my hands trying to get my 70 running and lowered and tracking down steelies for it. But if its worth saving or its usable to someone i dont want to scrap. Any input here is appreciated.

I wouldn't scrap it. But its too expensive to ship for what its worth. Maybe sit it in a corner out of the way for a rat rod project or if someone comes up needin the guts?

Yea ive got a ratrod idea for later. Whats it worth do you think? The 250 cant be worth but $100. If that.

I had one out of a wrecked 64 and gave it away. They are common as stink in the outhouse.

The Muncie is a non synchro first gear trans and really, not much to write home about. They aren't worth really anything.

I bought this one a while back at a swap meet just for the vintage Hurst shifter and didn't pay even what he was asking for it.

Cool. They seem to be pretty sturdy. Would be neat in a light weight rat with a big 4 or 6, prolly couldn't keep rubber on the tires.
