Getting the lead out?
I have a '48 that I am messing with and I am VERY new in the "body work" area. My question is, do you leave the lead in or take it out. Many of the seams are cracked and I was wondering what most do. Thanks for the help/ info. Woody.

Re: Getting the lead out?
The guy who painted our suburban we built had me remove all the lead and fill the big gaps with metal so that the bondo would not be very thick in those spots.. like your's the lead was cracked on the suburban and i was afraid it would fall out after the sub was painted..

Re: Getting the lead out?
Thank you for the info and the pictures. That is what I was going to do, I did not want the led in there to cause future problems.
