Installing new knock sensor, got a question....
Just curious. Installed my new knock sensor and wanted to know if its typical to still have this many threads exposed? I tightened it way down and didn't want to strip it out. Thoughts?

You're good, it won't leak. The cooling system isn't under much pressure so snug is sufficient.

Re: Installing new knock sensor, got a question....
One thing I will mention about "Knock Sensors" When I swap my 305 for my 350, sensor called for a different part number.
After some research the only reason I could find was one sensor was less sensitive then the other. Desert PS: my sensor looks like yours when installed |

I did not actually. I ended up going with a local shop about 10 minutes away. They were highly recommended and gave a better warranty. Have you got yours up and running?

Yeah I am hoping I don't have trouble there. Replaced the drive and driven gears on mine to account for the new 3.73 gears going in.

Re: Installing new knock sensor, got a question....
I figured out with some help from this forum that I have the wrong gear housing for my drive gear. I ordered one off Ebay this morning.
