Steering rod
I have a question about the steering rod going down to steering box,What year did they start with the collapsible steering rod I wanna say maybe 1970 maybe.anywho will one work with my 64 column..the reason I ask is my 64 body is sitting on a 1970 4x4 frame and the PO or whoever had to unbolt where the column bolts under the dash and pulled it back prolly 2-3".and I'm guessing the steering rod is too long, the truck has power steering box and I'm sure originally prolly didn't have power steering. In case of a collision I don't want to get the shaft in the gut....know what I mean Vern....
