Re: question on wheels
I'd imagine they would, but hard to say from here. It's not the backspacing,it's the profile. GM used 5.5" and later on 6" wheels on their 4wds with discs,so I'm not sure what these wheels you found were made for. If they are trailer wheels,I'm kinda doubting it,since trailers run drums. Then again, maybe once GM went to discs this type of wheel uses the same profile as GMs. Are these new or used? Are they stamped 7 x 15?

Re: question on wheels
Holy crap special k, you have a LOT of posts lol, I never actually noticed your post count before.
As for the wheels; the short answer should be yes, but at 15" a slight change in the barrel of the wheel design can change that. I run 15" Mickey Thompson wheels up front, which cleared my stock d52 style brakes just fine...but when I upgraded to the Wilwood D52's, I had to use push-on wheel weights on the inside, because there is so little clearance that stick on's don't fit...I have literally 1.5mm between wheel and caliper. I had some steel wheels custom made, and due to the width, the barrel was re-enforced and thusly had even less clearance. I can't fit ANY disk brakes I've found in my rear wheels.

Re: question on wheels
they are OEM GM wheels ...they are used. in the pic, from what I can tell by the fender opening looks to be on a 67-72 chev ....but cant say as it doesn't have a full fender pic ...guess ill call the guy up and see what their on or came off of and if it had discs. I DO know they are 6 lug though ...cant tell if they're stamped 15x7, they have tires on them and limited pics.
thanks for the input ...I know its a kind of a dumb question, but I have read some post about steelies not clearing discs ...so I figured id run it past you guys |

Re: question on wheels
I believe if the wheel has 3 friction bumps for the hubcaps they're drum brake wheels and if they have 4 friction bumps they're the later model 4x4 wheels...

Re: question on wheels
I've heard people claim there were factory 7" wheels but I have never seen any. I have wheels off an '85 and an '89 and they are 6". It's stamped right on the rim. You can see it with tires mounted. Not tryong to sidetrack,I just have no idea what those would be off of to answer your question. The only GM wheels I've seen are 5.5s,optional 8s,and later 6s.
