Original Replacement Tires

My truck is currently running Firestone FR380s which appear to be discontinued. They're showing their share of wear and tear and are in need of replacement. I want to keep the truck looking original... here is how it sits now:



Here is what I think might be an original spare tire that I pulled from underneath the truck... a Uniroyal:


I don't care if it's a modern or updated tire; I'm just having trouble finding a 235 width white wall tire in 15". Anybody have any recommendations of a stockish/original style white wall tire?

I *think* Toyo used to have a whitewall, 800 Ultra, maybe? Can't find it online, but maybe call a dealer. It could have a modern replacement with a white band available.

In everything that I have seen for your year of vehicle, it came with raised white letter tires. I haven't seen anything that shows a factory image with whitewalls. Also, your factory tire size was 225/75-15.

And those are my favorite wheel covers of all time!

The size (225) is correct, as far as white wall vs RWL, don't know for sure but RWL were popular at that time, more so then WW. There are many off brands with thin whitewalls, you need to go to a large tire shop. You don't need to over spend at Coker tire just for a 1" whitewall.

Cooper trendsetter available in 225/75/15 and 235/75/15 you can get at sears, discount tire, summitracing just about anywhere

don't just go by pics, look for WSW or WW after the size

You can do whatever you like, but here are two pictures from the '78 truck brochure showing all 3 types (whitewall, raised white letter, blackwall) tires.

Thanks for the suggestions, guys. Here's what I've come across, including the stuff listed above:

Cooper Tires
American Classic
Maxxis

They all make radial whitewalls. Does anybody know how thick the factory white wall was? I currently have 3/4" white walls. American Classic makes 1.6" and 1" white walls. Maxxis is 3/4" as is Cooper. I can also find Firestone Bias Plys that look just like the Uniroyal Spare tire, but I don't think I want Bias Plys on a truck that gets regularly driven...

My 86 has Runway Enduro 075. They are made in china. Measured the width of the whitewall, 1 1/8". Would put pictures up when I figure out how.

Put on some Maxxis tires... also put on Bilstein shocks, new leafs, coils, and a PST front end rebuild kit. Aligned it as well... like a new truck.
