1 ton rat rod project
Ok guys here goes... I've got a new toy. I'm new to the chevy gmc scene but not to cars. My last build was a 74 plymouth roadrunner with a 440 but that's besides the point. I found a 1965 gmc 1 ton dually with a dump bed! It's all original... Minus the floor board lol. It has the original 305 v6 with four speed manual. The best part about the whole truck is everything on it works and I picked it up for $750! Plans r to leave patina and nastalgia and get her low but stil retaining the functionality. Any advice is appriciatted!

Re: 1 ton rat rod project
Great looking truck and nice find. If you look through the build section, you will find all the ideas you could ever want and need. I would encourage you to read through the 60-66 fax index (facts) section (look at the top of the 60-66 page under thread/thread starter). It will give you tons of info / knowledge on these trucks. Welcome to the forum also. We wouldn't be opposed to some pics of the roadrunner also...been looking at a 69 down the road from me for a long time.

It's an auto X car Jensen the lack of fancy paint and flashy wheels. This build was strictly performance. Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: 1 ton rat rod project
Yea I love the fact it's a dually u don't see many of these because they spent they're whole life on a farm and when they finally die they just put them in the woods to rot!
By the way that's factory sublime green Chrysler color... Helps when looking for a leak lol! Posted via Mobile Device |

That's tearing into it!!
See if someone will do a photo-chop rendition of your truck. For motivational purposes.
