Canadian Members.. where to buy parts? LMC shipping is crazy!
Hey, question for the Canadian members on this site..
Where can I find body parts for my 87 in Canada? I buy from Summit all the time and the shipping rates are fair, or as fair as i can expect. Tried to buy a Repo grille off of LMC and they quoted me $200 to ship a $50 part!! I can ship a set of wheels for less, whats the deal with that LMC time to get off the crack pipe.

You are in BC, as am I. How far from the border are you?
I usually get stuff shipping to a receiving company across the border (Oroville WA for me), and go bring it across myself. The savings in shipping alone more than offsets the gas to get there and back. I try to make it a "date" with my sweetie and spend the time together.

Re: Canadian Members.. where to buy parts? LMC shipping is crazy!
try Cross Canada, have lots & decent prices. and yeah, lmc is THE WORST when it comes to shipping to canada. they wanted $140 to ship 2 chrome headlight bezels, worth $79 & about a pound of weight, one of many failed attempts at ordering from them. the trick to ordering from the states (besides a mail box or recieving co. down there) is to ship USPS. $5 border service charge. fed-ex, ups, etc. have a field day with custom fee's, usually 60% of the value of what you bought. if they don't ship USPS, just ask, i have & 95% of the time they will. if you are close to Sumas Wa. or Orville Wa., theres a place called Ship Happens where you can send stuff for a $4 flat fee & bring it across yourself, saves huge on shipping

"Ship happens" in sumas WA is the nearest drop ship place for me, i just hate crossing the boarder and try to avoid it if i can.

Cross Canada (or who ever they have become now??) parts can be purchased through LordCo. They usually can match US pricing (plus shipping, duty, etc) when pushed.
I ~think~ LMC (or equivalent) can be purchased through KMS Tools, though anything I've ordered through them usually ends up in nevernever land.
