1964 C20 4x4 Mud Bogger

Like many others on the forum, these 60's trucks run in the family. I came across these old pictures of my father's first truck. He was a teenager when he did the first restore back in the late 70's, and did pretty well in the local Mud Bog Modified Stock class.
Truck specs:
1963 C20 4x4 Frame
Detroit Locked D44 Front, D60 Rear 4:56 Gears
1964 Body, clean and completely stock with wood bed
Fully Rebuilt 283 sbc (with aftermarket heads, valvetrain , edelbrock intake, holley 750 carb, etc..)
4 Speed Manual Tranny
37" maxxis tires in some pics and 35" tsl swampers others

The rolling chassis is all that's left today...she succumbed to the rust.

That's really cool you've got those pics of your dad enjoying the truck...any plans to drop another body on the chassis??

Thanks for the pic.
You have a base and history to build on!
Hopefully you'll carry on the tradition...

Re: 1964 C20 4x4 Mud Bogger

Thanks guys! I am looking to put a body on it again someday. I recently bought a formerly '66 C20 2wd that Ive been working on getting on the road (needs very little)....I am debating on putting that body on the 4wd frame or lowering it on the existing 2wd chassis...any thoughts?

Love the pictures. Lifted, lowered or stock, 2 or 4wd these trucks look great. My preference is 4x4, especially with your family history on the 4X4 chassis. Regardless of which way you go enjoy your build.

Lower the 2wd, get another body for your dad's truck and have the best of both worlds.
