help me identify rearend
I pulled a rear end out this weekend and not sure if it is worth keeping.
It is much larger(in size) then the other 2 that I have. Any ideas? thanks |

That is the GM Corporate HO 52 axle. It was the standard for 3/4 ton trucks.
As far as how much bigger? It would depend upon what other 2 axles you have....

That's an Eaton. 12" gear IIRC.
All I know is' parts are expensive and there has been no aftermarket support. '72 was the last year of use. There might be some value especially if it has a LSD

AFAIK, there was no positraction unit available for these. You were stuck with an open carrier (one wheel wonder) or jumped all the way to Detroit Locker.
