Need seat pictures please
I have had a lot of interest in seat covers for 1960-1966 trucks. I would like to put together a thread of seat pictures first to get a feel for what you guys are wanting. Thanks in advance.

Re: Need seat pictures please
This is what's on the original rear seat(big) seat of my Suburban. Still there, but shriveling up from age. Hate to take it off, but eventually going to have it redone to match my front seat.

Re: Need seat pictures please
That seat cover (above) was made for me by SMS in Oregon. Here is another image. I know it is not correct for my '64 GMC standard seat but it is what I wanted. I sent them my worn out, original (all vinyl) seat covers and they used them for patterns and sent the new covers to me a few months later. That was the last time I saw my original covers. I can look up the price if you guys would like. It was not cheap. The guys at SMS were not excited about making the cover for me, but I was able to talk them into it. Seems like they would much rather sell the correct vinyl and cloth and be done with it.

Re: Need seat pictures please
Front seat cover cost me $815.96. That included several nos springs, batting, burlap, adhesive, hardware and labor to install the cover. I tried to install it myself but failed miserably. I think the cover alone was right at $700

Re: Need seat pictures please
There are many earlier threads pertaining to seat photos. Here are a few to get you started:
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=388153 http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...ighlight=seats http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...ighlight=seats http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=329412 http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=488386 Also if you search under dash boards, steering wheels, and seat belts, those will turn up a lot of seat photos as well. Good luck.

Re: Need seat pictures please
Yes!!!
You would not believe how many guys have asked about "correct" seat covers for the '60-'66 trucks over the years. Nobody made covers that were correct, and it seemed like none of the vendors were interested. THANK YOU for posting in the '60-'66 forum. We definitely appreciate your interest in helping us out.

Re: Need seat pictures please
I down for one in the 65 custom style!
Personally I'm not concerned with a concours reproduction with original material, just a well made passable replacement. |

Re: Need seat pictures please
I'm interested in the '65 custom style as well. I would do this instead of houndstooth if it was available.
