Schwing! Look what I got for $100!
OK...I have this posted on the 67-72 board too since this is a donor truck for my 70 Chevy pickup. The power disc brakes, power steering and the rear axles are going into the 70. If I can figure it out, I'd like to try to use the tilt column too.
Whatever is left of the truck will probably get posted here on the parts for sale board. Mike

The guy was asking $300, but I knew where there was a mid 70s pickup with a rebuilt trans for the same price. The pickup has been sitting a number of years, so I wasn't too sure how good the transmission was. So if he did not come down in price on the sub, I would have bought the pickup instead.
Its a 1978 according to the registration papers. No engine or trans. It had a CB in it. The guy I bought it from wanted it back. The antenna is not on the truck anymore. It has bucket seats out of something. They are not stock buckets. I think at least one of them is electric. They would need to be recovered. I can't remember if it has the rear AC. I'll take a look at it and see. EVERYTHING on this truck is painted white. Even the (used to be) chrome bumpers. Any idea if I can get the paint off of the grille? Easy Off oven cleaner? Obviously I wasn't paying too much attention to the rest of the truck when I bought it. I just wanted the running gear. Looks like I got lucky yesterday. LOL Mike

Goofoff (available in hardware stores) is good stuff, but it will dissolve some plastics. Yes, I learned this the hard way...

Hell of a deal for $100. Looks like a junk yard truck waiting to be ripped off of parts.

I know goofoff is harsh but I believe it will be ok on a grill since it is coated would not try it on soft plastic like in the interior.
