eaton rear end
was told by friend that a 67 to 72 rear end on a suburbon would fit on my truck, still 8 lug but with a 3.54 gear

If you are talking about the Dana 60 that was available in the '67-'72 era trucks, then yes that will be a direct bolt in into a '63-'66 truck. However you may need to shorten your rear drive shaft, and/or change the rear U-joint.
