can't get the frame detached from the rear springs???
how's it goin everyone!
so, I'm trying to pull the rear end off of my donor frame, but can't seem to get the bolts that good the springs to the frame loose...??. the frame has been powder coated, but I'm using an impact wrench and it's not even moving. should I come in from the inside of the frame and try to loosen the nut with some heat and a wrench with a breaker bar ? I have to get this thing moved ASAP, so any quick advice would be helpful! thanks! Posted via Mobile Device |

If you aren't trying to save the coils, cut them off. Had to do that on mine.

Re: can't get the frame detached from the rear springs???
After cutting the coil out, I cut the bottom bolt off on top of the trailing arm (very carefully) and the top bolt from the bottom of the frame, if that makes sense. If I had had a torch, I might have heated them up first to see if they could move but since I wasn't saving them I didn't see the need.

I hear ya...I'll probably torch em first and see if they'll move.
btw, that cutting wheel went through those things like butter! literally took less than ten minutes for both, lol. saved so much time! Posted via Mobile Device |
