1966 seat foam
Does anyone make seat foam for a 1966 seat cushion that is already cut to shape?

ps we could not find a prefinished foam seat cushion. start of seat rebuild: use this link and then click on the thumbnails to see the process of rebuilding the seat. http://kieth.smugmug.com/Trucks/66-G...4100&k=KbDBhWz 2nd set of photos, somehow we missed taking pictures of the foam and how we did it, but man it was messy, there were foam scraps everywhere. http://kieth.smugmug.com/Trucks/66-G...4405&k=fKFGXwN seat finished and installed. http://kieth.smugmug.com/Trucks/66-G...Tmdg&lb=1&s=X2 Last edited by kieth; 08-09-2013 at 01:30 PM. |

Re: 1966 seat foam
I would think the 67-68 seat foam which is reproduced would be a good candidate. I haven't measured the two seats, but from eye they look pretty close.

Re: 1966 seat foam
If going with custom foam, keith's method can be a little less messy if you use an electric carving knife.

Re: 1966 seat foam
Yes, I have used my electric carving knife on foam before and it works really well.
