help me find the right 60-66 chevy, ratrod, prostreet magazines to subscribe to
Im looking to subscribe to a automotive magazine. I have subscribe to hotrod, carcaft, every mustang magazines you can think, four wheeler magazine, off road truck magazines and now I'm looking for a new magazine to subscribe to. hopefully one of you guys can help me determine which one suits me best. Im kinda looking for a ratrod magazine that has prostreet, prostreet trucks.mainly the 40,50,60,70 and 80s.chevy trucks I want a the magazine to deal with more how to tips and tricks then racing.lots of rides that people build from a limited budget rather than a shop doing it. Id like for a lot of them to be daily drivers. I also like the magazine to cover the history of these trucks and to tell what was popular back in the day with these trucks. I really don't want to see alot of show cars that never get drove. I don't like to trailer Queens. I'm ready to subscribe .if you guys can help me pick out a magazine.

Welcome AR
I'd suggest to put that money towards subscribing here. There is so much info, variety, multi-levels of builds....and direct, quick answers to dilemma's you may encounter. Also tons of photos and/or parts and community as well. I'm not knocking the magazines and they do have their place; that's how I first learned about automotive stuff. If a particular article catches your eye then just buy it. Peruse the site more thoroughly and you will soon see why it makes sense to be a paid member.

Look at the build pages for some SERIOUS in depth info on really cool builds. Look at the FAQ page, they have TONS of articles on, well, everything about your truck. Look at the engines and drivetrain page, there's Diesel conversions, LSX Conversions, even performance (trucks hauling more than hay)! This forum has more info than I've been able to read, and I spend waaay too much time on here already. It's like goin to a swap meet, you gotta look around and dig a little to uncover the jewels.

Re: help me find the right 60-66 chevy, ratrod, prostreet magazines to subscribe to
I have subscribed to Classis Trucks, Custom Classic Trucks and some others, seeing those trailer queens( not all but most) just makes me ill. Someone who writes a check for a built truck...I hope I don't offend but I would rather look at a rusty old truck that a guy sweats over and loves like his kids than a bought truck with a bunch of custom stuff stuffed in it.
Here you get the guys who do the work, talk you through problems or how they did it, and its about the same price! These guys will go look at parts for you , talk you out of selling or give advice in any situation...what I'm saying is, this is worth the $ and more! Posted via Mobile Device

It's $25.00 a year and the wealth of information on this site is awesome! I wish I could buy a lifetime membership or at least have something like that available. I have made more friends on here than I can count and learned things just by reading threads.
