Blazer half cabs

Anyone know how many different companies made half cab kits for Blazers? I found one today and its all steel, (steel top and bulkhead). It seems I remember one that used a fiberglass top.

Mine is also fiberglass, I have never seen a steel one.

If you get a chance post pics of it.

Re: Blazer half cabs

Sorry for the crappy cell phone pics. I've seen a few of the fiberglass versions and didn't realize they were still being produced. The guy is asking for 800 for this one.

Youll just have to wait, and keep your eyes open. Only saw three come up for sale in the last six years, and i bought one. There was one for sale three months ago in the classified section, but i think it sold.....

If i see one, ill let you know

You could post a WTB, but you would have to be blue

That would be me. I'm having a hard time finding someone to produce 2 or 3 at a time for a reasonable price. The way it looks now I would have to sell them for 1500 each.

Re: Blazer half cabs

Found mine in the junkyard for 20 bucks. Truck was gone and I walked I've the end of it and was like no that can't be what I think it is. Lol. I sold it a couple years ago for 200. The guy had been looking for about 10 years for one. Weighed about 140 pounds. I carried it on my back out of the yard I pulled it from.

I don't see that being unreasonable if the quality is on par with what Jaros looks like. Is that a real number? Would it be textured or gelled at that? I assume the molds are smooth and the texture is an after the fact thing.

...and is it doable in carbon and if so how much more would that be?

Actually, i agree with you, not unreasonable price at all. The product is not out there in any shape or form. Just a very limited market, but with limited production numbers, that shouldnt be a problem. Shipping is the biggest cost, building a pallet and all

Do you still have the molds for a half cab? I've been in contact with Bruce in Texas that has the "sexy half cab" web site about purchasing his molds. Would you be interested in exchanging information. I live in Nebraska and would like to do something to obtain a half cab for my Jimmy closer to home or exploring the interest out there.
