Starter wire harness Help...
Ok Guys I'm having to redo my starter wine harness... It's all Butchered up.. Anyway I wanna make one up on the original connecter.
I have Hei dizzy and I need to know how many wires go too the back of the starter? And is the green one for the tach? And there's a yellow that's not hooked up?? Thanks in Advance Chris.. Posted via Mobile Device

Posted via Mobile Device. Ok this is what I got after removing all the old elect tape... Oh yeah I'm installing a mini starter with only one S post on the solinoid.

The purple wire from that connector will go to the "S" terminal(start)
The fabric wrapped wire you need to remove and run to your "dizzy"?? assuming you mean distributor (it is originally a resistance wire. from the other side of the connector to the ignition switch you can leave unchanged) The green wire is for the temperature sending unit The dark blue wire(if equipted) is for the oil pressure. if the truck has original gauges, you may not have this wire. The yellow wire would have originally gone from the "R" terminal of the starter and would have been connected with the resistance wire on the + of the coil. It is no longer needed. |

Sorry I worded that wrong.
You will remove the fabric wrapped wire from the connector and replace it with normal 10ga wire and connect to the "BATT" terminal of the HEI distributor |
