Unhappy suspension squeaks

Have a 75 cheyenne pickup that runs great. Squeaks like he'll when your coming down the street, even on a smooth road. Had the chassis lubricated, but still squeaks. Heard its probably bushings but there are so many of them. Does anyone now which ones are prone to squeaking. Any advice would help.

Re: suspension squeaks

have you had the ball-joints greased? Control arm bushings for upper and lower? Tie rod ends greased?

Re: suspension squeaks

You can drill and install zerks in the control arm bushings. Lube the sway bar as well. Those are the common areas

Otherwise have a hyperactive friend bounce on your truck and listen where it's coming from

Re: suspension squeaks

Mine squeaks a bit as well..Coming from the back. Must be the leaf spring bushings. They are all new.
Can you just spray some lube in there?

Re: suspension squeaks

Only have had the chassis lubricated. Will look into the ball joints, and control arm bushings. Thanks for the advice

Re: suspension squeaks

Don't know how to check if shocks are tight. They are about 20 years old though

Re: suspension squeaks

If the shocks are really 20 years old they are probably long past shot.
