Re: Protecto Plate/owners manual location?!
Normally build sheets will be found under the seats. Look between the springs and the burlap. I've never seen protecto plates in the 60-66 models, although they started to keep better track of the builds in 66.

Re: Protecto Plate/owners manual location?!
Thanks for the info, I am not looking for the build sheet...but, was more curious as to the location of the owners manual & protecto plate as mine is under the glovebox inner liner sitting in a tray that looks to there specifically for it...which would not be accessible without removing the inner panel. I will post a pic later...Thanks again

Re: Protecto Plate/owners manual location?!
In my GMC it was in one of the manuals in the glove box.

Re: Protecto Plate/owners manual location?!
My 65 has no provision for that tray. I just installed a new glove box liner and would have seen that.

Re: Protecto Plate/owners manual location?!
That tray is the mount for factory a/c box. Trucks w/o factory air don't have it. Someone must have slipped it up under there between a/c mount and glove box for safe keeping. My 66 has factory a/c and the protecto plate and owners manual was in the glovebox.
